Our History

Anand and Doris Saha, the creators of Mozart’s, met in Switzerland in 1989. Anand studied Hotel Management while Doris trained as a professional Pastry Chef. When the opportunity to move to Columbus, Ohio arose in 1995, the couple risked everything they had to open their own bakery and make Columbus their home. After struggling for the first few months, they soon found themselves the creators of perhaps the best pastry shop in the city. With the generous support of the Columbus community, Mozart’s has grown famous for authentic European foods and an atmosphere that could not be found anywhere else.

The Sahas purchased the historic building at 4784 N. High Street in 2012. After an intensive restoration and renovation project, Mozart’s relocated to its new home in July 2013.  The Sahas are proud to have revived a part of Clintonville history while continuing to offer Mozart’s patrons the European flavors, quality and ambiance they have come to expect.

Community enrichment is a keystone of the Saha’s business philosophy.  Mozart’s is honored to support many local schools, nonprofits, churches, and other community organizations both large and small, including raising more than $500,000 for neighborhood nonprofit organizations over the past two and a half decades.  We are proud to be an active advocate for our community and hope that we will continue to have the opportunity to serve for many years to come.
